The Trust’s principle responsibility is to provide a strategic overview of the operation, management and development of Maidstone Leisure Centre and associated facilities. Day to day operation of the centre is undertaken by the Trust’s managing agents, Serco Leisure, a leading national operator of Leisure Centres and Sport and Leisure facilities.
Maidstone Leisure Centre has a wide range of facilities offering an excellent choice of sporting and leisure activities as well as an events venue and meeting rooms.
The facilities include five swimming pools including a fitness pool for lane swimming, two teaching pools, diving boards and dive pit and a fun pool with exciting water features for toddlers, spa, waves and a flume. We have new contemporary family changing rooms with full disabled changing facilities.
We also have a two storey fitness suite with the latest in fitness training equipment, two purpose built workout studios and fitness changing rooms; a sports hall, children’s soft play area, 1200 tiered seated acoustically balanced events hall, meeting rooms, two bars and café.

Support for Sport and Active Leisure in the Community
In addition to the Maidstone Leisure Centre, a key objective of the Trust is to support the development of sport and active leisure across the Borough of Maidstone. Increasing participation in active leisure is a key driver of improved health and well-being in the community. Accordingly the Trust works with local partners and agencies to provide advice, support and, in some cases, financial assistance to local operators. Sometimes this is in the form of focussed activity at the Leisure Centre and sometimes it is simply by providing some financial assistance for particular needs. Examples of clubs and groups that have been supported in the past can be viewed here. For information about grants available for clubs organisations and individuals click here.
